Marketing Director

Overview:   The Marketing Director possesses the ability to communicate effectively and advocate for the mission of Covenant Place of Lenexa to the community and various media. 

Qualifications: High school diploma or equivalent.  1-2 years’ experience in marketing preferred.   Must possess a valid driver’s license and have a good driving record.

Duties and Responsibilities:   Duties are determined by Covenant Place of Lenexa’s needs and may include, but are not limited to, the following:

Reporting and recordkeeping:

  • Organize and maintain lead database and records including contact information, source information and history of all contacts made with leads and contracts
  • Complete and submit census and marketing reports as requested
  • Maintain up to date competitive analysis
  • Develop and manage the marketing plan
  • Ensure referral/admission log is kept and accurate
  • Manage budget, track and submit expenses as requested

Planning and Time Utilization:

  • Complete event setup within 30 minutes of scheduled start time
  • Be prepared for client appointments no less than 15 minutes before the scheduled appointment time
  • Have all advertising complete and submitted by the submission date
  • Demonstrate the ability to set and establish priorities
  • Oversee the design and ordering of collateral materials

Marketing

  • Successful demonstration of strong marketing strategies using various media
  • Formulate and maintain a contact list for continuing marketing opportunities
  • Plan and execute marketing events each quarter that are designed to bring in new prospective residents, and should include current residents and their friends
  • Monitor social media and internet for relevant content and reviews
  • Monitor competition(s) activities and new competitors on the market

Sales

  • Capture detailed list of contact information of potential residents attending quarterly marketing events
  • Capture detailed lists of contact information of potential referral sources from the community, such as, physicians, discharge planners, social workers, churches, hospitals and clinics
  • Have a deep understanding of the local market for senior care options
  • Demonstrate the ability to present/speak to senior groups
  • Successfully demonstrate ability to close sales and/or obtain admissions
  • Ensure accurate information be given to referral sources, clients and future residents

Referral Source Relationships

  • Build and maintain relationships with current residents, to encourage resident referrals
  • Maintain and strengthen relationships with current referral sources in the community
  • Visit current and potential residents in the hospital
  • Promote and maintain a favorable public image; participate in community affairs

Skills and Abilities

  • Knowledgeable of all levels of care and products the community has to offer and criteria for each
  • Proficient in computer and able to use Microsoft Office products and lead management software
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, including a proficient clear, concise, and compelling oral and written communication
  • Financial management and stewardship of resources

Attendance and Reliability:

  • Does not abuse or take advantage of time off
  • On time to work and appointments
  • Always provides proper notice in advance of absence unless due to illness
  • May be required to work weekends and holidays

Other:

  • Maintains work area in a neat and orderly manner
  • Maintains a well groomed professional appearance.
  • Complete other tasks as requested

Physical, sensory and cognitive requirements:

  • May be required to lift equipment or supplies weighing up to 50 pounds
  • Frequently be required to carry objects up to 30 pounds
  • While performing this job you may be required to perform standing, sitting, twisting, bending, squatting, kneeling or crouching
  • Vision should be corrected to average to assess and respond to customer needs. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, peripheral vision and ability to adjust focus.
  • Hearing should be corrected to average range of hearing, as corrected, in order to respond to client/future resident/staff/physician/family communications.
  • Must be able to speak, read and write the English language in an understandable manner.
  • Must be able to cope with mental and emotional stress.
  • The Marketing Director is required to work with all persons at Covenant Place of Lenexa and has the ability to get along and socialize with them. This includes employees, residents, families, vendors, other health care professionals and the community at large.

 Environment:

  • Exposure to general resident care environment
  • Moderate exposure to temperature environment
  • Possible exposure to pharmacological preparations, biologicals, and potential biohazard materials including blood and other bodily fluids
  • May be required to work extended hours
  • Frequent work interruptions occur

  • May be exposed to miscellaneous office and cleaning chemicals
